A Miracle! New ac fic!
2010-06-29

Yes, believe it or not, I've actually finished -- and posted -- a new fic!  "Still Not in Kansas...." is a little piece in my Family Ties universe, and I enjoyed working with the family again!  Not surprisingly, Pip is being well, Pip!

I hope that this will get me back on track.  I've got about half of the "Chess Lady" fic ready to be finished, and several other ideas floating around. I've been far too busy these days, and without new Farscape for inspiration, sometimes it's hard to get motivated, but I'm really anxious to get back to writing!

Arrgh!
2009-09-03

I appear to have picked up a case of the dreaded bad character set....boxes and other funny characters.  I don't know how many stories it affects; I've pretty much corrected the ones that I have just touched (added awards info and banners for this year's TF awards).  I'll keep at them as I get the chance.  If you notice any particular stories that need cleaning up, feel free to send me an e-mail with the contact link at the bottome of this page.

Still a Few Quirks....
2009-03-08

You may have noticed we've had a few issues with the site over the past month. There was some script hacking involved, and the fabulous Scorpy808 deleted the offending material and got me going again, and then updated the script this site uses for me to post stories. I've been doing a little tweaking of the way things are laid out (and you can see it's still not wrapping right around the thumbnails), but at least I think I've got it quite usable again. I've uploaded the first of two recent fics, and will get the second one uploaded shortly.

Most exciting to me, we have a search function!! How fantastic is that, at least if you remember the title! I'm very jazzed about that! If anyone sees something that doesn't seem right, let me know while we're fussing with everything.

(And enjoy the new stories! Hopefully the muses are talking to me again!)

Farscape Comics are best sellers for Boom!
2009-02-24

Woo-hoo! So far, the first two issues of Boom! Studios' first Farscape miniseries have both sold out and gone to a second printing! (This is the issue 2 second printing cover here.) I'm enjoying the beginning of the story, which takes up right after PK Wars and sends our heroes to Hyneria! In April, a second four-issue miniseries ("Strange Detractors") will begin, as will a season 3 story featuring D'Argo and Jool, "D'Argo's Lament."

For completists, there are multiple covers for each issue, and several special "holofoil" covers for issue number 1, available at the New York ComicCon, WonderCon, and Emerald City Con.

Enjoy!

What's new with Farscape?
2008-09-01

While I've been playing with the site today, I noticed that I've still got an announcement from last year about Farscape Webisodes! The webisodes are still in the works, though they were slowed down by the Writer's Strike last fall/winter. What we do know is that the story (10 short episodes, 3 to 6 minutes in length) will take up after the events of Peacekeeper Wars.

Adding to the fun, however, is that coming this fall from BOOM! Comics will be Farscape comic books! These will be written by Rockne O'Bannon, and Rock says they will not only tie into the Webisode stories, but they will count as "canon" -- Official Farscape stories! I'm really looking forward to these stories, both to see new adventures from some of my favorite characters, but also as inspiration for more stories of my own!

At last!
2008-08-28

For anyone who might have been waiting, The Song Remains the Same: Coda has been posted over at Terra Firma. I'll get it over here in the next day or two when I have a little time (yesterday I had some technical issues with the web host, or I'd have done it then). It took quite a while, but I'm pretty pleased with the results. Feel free to leave a comment or two over at TF if you read it there!

ETA: The story is now posted here as well as at Terra Firma.

Woo-Frelling-Hoo! More Farscape!
2007-07-16

The Sci Fi Channel announced Sunday that they had signed a deal with The Jim Henson Company to bring back Farscape for 10 webisodes, to be available through SCIFI.com. Few details are currently available (apparently the deal was just recently concluded), but the episodes will be produced by the Jim Henson Company and RHI Enterprises, with Brian Henson and Robert Halmi, Jr. as executive producers. The Sci Fi rep said that the webisodes would "revive and expand the beloved Farscape universe," and that some of the original cast would be involved. Obviously, this could be anything from 3-minute snippets to longer-length episodes. I don't care WHAT they are, they're new Farscape! To quote a friend of mine, "Even if they're three-minute episodes with a sheyang and a skreeth, it's new Farscape!!!" It'll give me a new universe to let John and Aeryn play in! Hell, yeah!!!

About Capitalization....
2006-08-30

You may or may not have noticed I'm not always consistent in whether I capitalize terms like "Sebacean" or "Scarran." It's because I'm really of two minds about doing it. Generally, the names of alien species are capitalized in science fiction, I suppose to emphasize that they are, well, alien. But we don't capitalize "human." So, sometimes I think it's better not to capitalize similar terms, except when they refer to a government. And other times I think, "Well, they do capitalize them in the scripts and the Illustrated Companion books," and go ahead and do it. Please forgive the confusion -- and I do try to at least be consistent within an individual story!

More thanks are due!

I just had to say thank you to Imloco2 for helping me come up with the very cool story icons I'm using for the Fallout series stories! Accompanying this announcement is Merry, the youngest of the Sun Crichton children in the Fallout universe, and you can see her siblings Livvy and TJ also by taking a look here. Aren't they perfect? Loco did most of the work, I just said, "Yes! That's it!" Thanks, Loco!!!

And by the way, look for a seventh Fallout story, featuring Livvy on earth, probably by the end of February!

Meet Pippin as seen by ScorpSik!
2006-01-11

As you know, I've been slowly adding icons/pictures to this site. Since the Family Ties series is the main one I have going right now, I especially wanted an icon, a "logo," if you will, to represent this series. Chiana's young son Pippin (being raised by John and Aeryn at the moment) has pretty well taken over many of the stories, and I thought he'd make the perfect representative for the series. As he is an original character, I knew I needed an artist to bring him to life. The very first person that came to mind was ScorpSik, because I knew she'd be able to do the imp justice. I'm so thrilled she agreed to tackle the job -- Isn't he just perfect? I smile every time I look at him! He even looks like Chiana!

Thanks so much, ScorpSik, you have my undying thanks!

Moving Forward Icon by Aurelie
2006-01-10

I wanted an "icon" to represent parts 1 and 2 of Moving Forward, and I wanted something to do with the "TO BE CONTINUED" that we got at the end of Bad Timing. I couldn't find any screen caps I liked, and put up a plea on Terra Firma to see if some of the wonderful artists there had or could make something for me. Aurelie came up with this, and it suits perfectly! Thanks so much for helping me out!

Whew! We're open for business!
2005-07-29

Many, many thanks to the fantastic Scorpy808 for the design work on this site! I totally reached the limits of my design abilities with my old site, and she did such a great job on this, I'm totally jazzed! I've uploaded all of my Farscape fan fiction here as of today. I expect I'll be adjusting dates and possibly categories as well over the next few weeks, but the stories are all here. With the big push to get everything up, I probably made some screw-ups, so if you see anything -- odd categories, inconsistent setting/spoiler references, truncated text, anything -- let me know by using the "contact" link at the bottom of each page.

And, if by any chance there's a favorite story of yours that's missing, please let me know and I'll go looking. I did find in uploading that there was at least one story that never made it to the old site, and I hadn't realized it....

So, welcome to my archives! I hope you'll enjoy!
