This is a series of two matched fics ("....Who Only Stand and Wait" and "Needful Things") and two epilogues.

Rating: PG
Setting: Shortly after Twice Shy
Spoilers: Through the opening of Mental as Anything
Summary: John and Aeryn get an unexpected gift of time alone together. The question is, what to do with it!
Awards: 2008 Terra Firma Fan Fic Awards, Best Romance, John & Aeryn G - PG-13 (Second Place)
This was written for the Third Annual Beach Bash at Terra Firma. The theme was "Lost Weekend," and I'm afraid this is pretty much exactly what you'd expect from me if you put "John and Aeryn" and "Lost Weekend" in the same sentence....

Setting: Late in Aeryn's "summer vacation," shortly before Promises
Spoilers: Through Promises
Summary: How do you react to the knowledge that you're dying?
I kept thinking this might work for the challenge for the upcoming Second Annual Beach Bash at Terra Firma, but by the time I got it finished, I decided that "Hope" wasn't really a theme here, not even lost hope, so I went ahead and posted it. It is in essence a prequel for Promises.

Rating: NC-17 (for sex)
Setting: Between Fetal Attraction and Hot To Katratzi
Spoilers: Through HTK
Summary: When you're too busy for long, involved discussions.....
I don't think, by the way they're acting at the beginning of Bad Timing, that John and Aeryn have had time to do much talking after her rescue, what with everything that was going on, but I just wanted to let them get a few things out in the open.

Rating: R (for sex, or anyway, a "between bouts" setting)
Setting: Between WSS: Fetal Attraction and WSS: Hot to Katratzi
Spoilers: Through Fetal Attraction
Summary: John and Aeryn are finally lovers -- and John gets a little surprise.
Awards: 2005 Sparkys, Best Romance, John/Aeryn (PG-R), Third Place
I was actually thinking about Aeryn's comment in Meltdown about how she loves it when John takes control. And that kind of led to this story. I just wanted to see them TALK a little.... Honest! TALK!
